Scholarship Program


Design Excellence Scholarship - Washington State University
The Miller| Hull Design Excellence Scholarship is awarded to Washington State University School of Architecture and Construction Management first year graduate students in the professional Master of Architecture program. The $2,000 scholarship will apply to tuition during the third semester of the program and includes a paid summer internship with Miller Hull between the second and third semesters. The annual award is offered to the top student who has demonstrated excellence in architectural design. Student design work must demonstrate proficiency in the relationship of architecture, technology and the environment.

The Miller/Hull Endowed Scholarship Fund & Internship Program – University of Oregon
The Miller/Hull Endowed Scholarship Fund is awarded to graduate students enrolled in the UO’s School of Architecture & Allied Arts, Department of Architecture and/or Interior Architecture Program. This permanent, annual scholarship for Masters of Architecture students, Option I, II or III, recognizes exemplary design skills and overall academic merit through an award of $1,000 toward tuition, fees, supplies, books, or other standard educationally related expenses. The recipient must successfully complete a rigorous application that includes a web-based portfolio that is well designed, organized, and represents his or her best work.

The Miller/Hull Internship Program provides an opportunity for a highly motivated UO student who is an enrolled major in the Department of Architecture to work as a paid summer intern in our studio. We look for a well-rounded person capable of working in a collaborative, close knit office culture who will be returning to UO for the Fall term. The ideal candidate will have a well-designed, web-based portfolio that demonstrates excellent design skills, including a proficiency in the relationship of architecture, technology and the environment. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in the following practical skills:
  • Experience with some or all of the following technologies: Adobe Suite, Sketchup, Revit, Ecotect, Grasshopper, Autocad
  • Ability to build physical study/presentation models
  • Ability to diagram ideas and hand sketch
  • Ability to collaborate
