Recognizing that architects have a collective responsibility to address issues associated with the global water crisis, partner Scott
Wolf has impacted his profession and affected policy change through the design of highly visible projects incorporating innovative
water, wastewater and stormwater strategies. These projects effectively and persuasively demonstrate the transformative
role that these systems play in the creation of a sustainable future for our built environment.
Scott’s design work has received numerous awards at the local, regional and national levels, and his focus on water has generated
significant national attention. His carefully crafted projects bring sustainable water strategies to the public’s consciousness
and have been recognized with LEED™ Silver, Gold and Platinum certifications, along with a GSA National Design Excellence
Award, an AIA National Housing Award, two AIA National COTE Earth Day Top Ten Awards, and two AIA National Honor
Awards.
He is a 1984 graduate of North Carolina State University,
where he received his bachelor of environmental design in architecture. He earned his master’s degree in architecture
from the University of Oregon in 1989. Scott has taught at the University of Washington and regularly participates in student reviews at both the University of
Washington and the University of Oregon. He has also served on a number of architecture and landscape architecture design
awards juries.
Scott coordinates Miller Hull’s commitment to The 1% solution and spearheads the office Legacy Projects with the
Columbia Land Trust, an organization that protects and conserves vital natural habitats along the Columbia
River. He is on the board of directors for Water 1st International, and is an affiliate at the Runstad Center for
Real Estate Studies in the College of Built Environments at the University of Washington.
