Fire Station 21
Fire Station 21's new facility in the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle will reside on the same property as the existing station. The adjacent lot to the east of the existing station site has been acquired to expand the area of the site. The existing facility will be demolished as part of this project, as well as the existing structures on the adjacent property. The engine company will be relocated to a nearby temporary facility for the duration of construction; however, the temporary facility coordination and budget is outside the scope of this project.

The building accommodates Company 21's four on-duty personnel including crew, administration and operational area requirements. Two apparatus bays will be provided for the Engine and Mass Casualty Unit. One bay is sized to accommodate all Fire Department apparatus including ladder trucks. The second bay will be smaller but sized to accommodate the station's engine.

Pursuing LEED™ Gold.
