This 40,000 sf building for the NW Federal Credit Union houses
their administrative headquarters and main branch bank and includes
tenant space. The program was based on 1996 growth projections-
10,000 s.f. of additional expansion space is leased in term increments
and may be reclaimed by the Credit Union as growth requires.
The main branch has expanded capabilities and enhanced member services.
The facility includes branch loans, card services, marketing, information
services, human resources, internal audit, accounting and executive
offices, and a call center. Support spaces include work rooms, mail/supply
center, reception, storage and lunchroom. Conference facilities
include a boardroom with separate food area, general training room,
computer training room and several general conference rooms.
Environmental goals for the project were to maximize energy and resource
efficiency, promote good indoor air quality and a healthy work environment
for the employees and included a daylighting scheme.
In 1996 the project received a Citation Award from the BPA's Architecture
+ Energy Program for the "integration of electric light and daylighting."
